01Financial research platform

EquityIQ

A financial screening platform that helps retail investors compare companies across valuation, profitability, growth and risk filters — and read the story behind the numbers.

Problem

Retail investors research stocks across a dozen disconnected tabs: one site for fundamentals, another for filings, another for news. Screening tools that combine them are usually paywalled, and annual reports are hundreds of pages long, so most people never read the primary source at all.

My role

Designed and built the entire application — data layer, analytics and interface.

  • Screens 550+ stocks across the S&P 500 and Nifty 50 with 30+ customisable filters.
  • Annual-report analyser extracts key insights from uploaded financial documents.
  • DCF valuation modelling and a live news-sentiment monitor.

02AI learning planner

SkillSync AI

A learning planner that turns a goal like "learn Python" into a timetable that fits the hours a person actually has — then keeps it honest as real life moves things around.

Problem

Most learning plans fail on scheduling, not motivation. Generic course roadmaps assume free evenings that learners do not have, so the first missed session collapses the whole plan and there is no mechanism to recover.

My role

Built the full application: schedule modelling, plan generation, persistence and UI.

  • Generates personalised timetables that fit a user's stated daily schedule.
  • Milestone tracking, streaks and auto-rescheduling when sessions slip.
  • Google Calendar sync, email reminders via Brevo, and offline PWA support.

03Booking & logistics platform

UniSettle

A booking platform that gets international students from the airport to their UK university accommodation — pickups, starter kits and settlement services in one paid flow.

Problem

An international student landing in the UK has to arrange an airport transfer, a SIM, bedding and kitchen basics from a different country, in a different time zone, usually through WhatsApp groups and cash. It is the most stressful week of the move and the least organised part of it.

My role

Built the student-facing booking flow and the operator admin panel.

  • End-to-end booking with Firebase Auth and Stripe Checkout.
  • Real-time booking management shared by students and operators.
  • Admin panel for driver assignment and settlement logistics.

How I approach building products.

The framework changes. The engineering principles don't.

  1. Build from the user problem

    Start with the workflow rather than the framework.

    Understand what the user is trying to accomplish, map the critical path, then choose the technology that fits the problem.

  2. Keep deterministic logic deterministic

    Use AI where it helps; keep calculations, validation and business rules outside the model.

    LLMs can interpret and explain. They should not replace predictable logic when the answer must be reproducible.

    Deploy early, test real workflows and improve from observed failures.

    A working system exposes problems that a static design never will. I prefer shipping an observable version and iterating from evidence.

    Good error states and recovery paths are part of the architecture, not cleanup work at the end.

About

Software and data are the same job to me.

I build products end to end: the interface someone uses, the API behind it, and the data model that makes the answers trustworthy. Most of what I enjoy sits where those meet — a screener is only useful if the financial data underneath it is normalised correctly, and a study planner is only useful if the schedule logic is deterministic rather than guessed.

The problems I like are the ones where information exists but is unusable: scattered across tabs, buried in a 200-page report, or trapped in a spreadsheet nobody can maintain. Turning that into something a person can act on in a few seconds is the part I find genuinely satisfying.

I have just finished a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science & Advanced Technologies at the University of Portsmouth, and I am partway through a concurrent online BSc at BITS Pilani. Alongside that I shipped MERN work as an intern and built four products of my own. I am based in the UK and looking for full-stack, software engineering or data roles where I can own features end to end and work with people who care about the details.

Outside work I travel as often as I can — temples, mountains and coastal towns mostly. It is where a surprising number of my project ideas start.

Understand Cover

AI-powered insurance policy explainer

Upload an insurance policy and get it back in plain English: what it actually covers, what it excludes, and where the wording leaves you exposed.

Document ingestion → clause retrieval → citation-backed response
Hardest part
Legal accuracy. Policy wording is deliberately precise, so a simplified explanation has to stay faithful to the terms without drifting into advice — and the number of legalities involved is the real constraint on how confidently the product can speak.
